Story
After spending most of my Army Career within the Military Police, dealing with domestic abuse and Sexual offences, I witnessed first hand how it impacts peoples lives. I was thrilled when swimminwimmin gave me the opportunity to help support their new challenge “100 degrees of Spring” and help raise awareness for The Women’s Centre.
During the months of February and March, women from Newquay and the surrounding area will brave the cold and dip along our beautiful coastline measuring the temperature as we go. We will dip until we have marked off 100 degrees of water or air temperature raising funds for The women’s Centre along the way. The Women’s Centre provides valuable and much needed support to women who are or have suffered in the hands of an abuser.
