Story
Thank you for stopping by and visiting my JustGiving page.
It was early New Years Eve, after my first glass of champagne, that I saw an ad in the JEP requiring runners to take part in the 2013 Brighton Marathon.
From that moment a seed was sown in my mind and not long after the training began, the flights were booked and my place within the Variety Team firmly secured.
I'm hoping to raise £500 for the local branch through donations and various fundraising events.
The money will help support local families, disabled and underprivileged children in Jersey.
Since its formation, the charity has raised over £3,000,000 and has been involved with a huge number of projects including:
Purchasing Sunshine Coaches for local schools and youth clubs
Launching a sailing catamaran and fishing boat.
Building a library, a sensory room and the 'Toy Library' at Mont A L'Abbe School.
Building a hydrotherapy pool, a sensory room, buying a wheelchair friendly car and landscaping the gardens at Oakwell Children's Respite Home.
Extending Maufant Youth Club.
Purchasing a Mobile Youth Bus.
Furnishing and purchasing medical equipment and toys for the A and E Department of the General Hospital.
and building a new playground for Samares Primary School.
A fantastic charity evidently supporting our community.
