Hi, I am Debbie Field, voluntary Chairman of The Knights Foundation - a charity which enhances and improves the lives of deprived children and disabled children and their families.
I am privileged within my role there to have built a great relationship with Jamie Gane, a professional sports athlete, who as acting Ambassador (voluntary) for The Knights Foundation is involved in meeting and mentoring children with all abilities across schools.
The Knights Foundation aim is to support Jamie with his goal of being in the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics. To achieve this Jamie requires prosthetic legs for training and for competing.
I am on a personal mission to raise funds for the "prosthetics" pot, to help Jamie achieve this and feel proud to be British. The total cost of Jamie's Prosthetic limbs is £40,008.17.
Any sponsorship you offer in support will be greatly appreciated and I give thanks in advance.
Jamie is a hard working and sincere person who since being a child and living with pain, made the choice to have his leg amputated last September (with the eventual support of the NHS) - here is a little insight into his story leading up to the amputation.
https://www.thesun.co.uk/archives/news/1145534/i-cried-with-happiness-when-docs-told-me-they-would-finally-amputate-my-leg/
Jamie is in a very good position to be at Tokyo 2020 for discus and javelin (currently no. 1 in the UK).
He is a hard working individual who also trains very hard to achieve what he is doing. Despite his full dedication, personally and to us at The Foundation, further monies are needed to make his vision achievable.
Most of you know I have a paralysed arm and following a muscle transplant I have had, now also have a thigh muscle missing from my right leg but I want to show my support and "British-ness" and belief in Jamie by raising monies for him by completing the London Moonwalk on 13th May 2017 (26.2 miles - the .2 miles is so important).
I am hoping to do this through any kind donations you can make, (nothing too big or too small).
It will be a personal achievement for me but above all I will be proud to have raised money for Jamie to have the opportunity to represent Great Britain at the next Paralympics.
Please show any support and encouragement you can through messages to me on this Just Giving page, directly to me -
