Story
Our friend and colleague Deborah Shepherd was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Following an operation, at time of writing she is about to undergo chemotherapy and radiotherapy, but we're pleased to say the prognosis is good!
One of our team suggested we should raise some money for charity in Deb's name, for a charity of her choice. An idea was hatched that we could complete the 3 Peaks challenge, but with a slight twist. Three groups, simultaneously climbing each mountain, with the aim of summitting and holding a department video call at 9:30am.
30 plucky volunteers from Next's Loss Prevention department will be climbing Ben Nevis, Snowdon or Scafell Pike on Thursday 26th August for Deb's chosen charity, Children With Cancer UK.
Children with Cancer UK actively raise and invest money for vital specialist research to save the lives of every child with cancer and keep their family together. Their vision is a world where every child diagnosed with cancer gets to ring their end of cancer treatment bell.
Our illustrious group of climbers are: Neil Ashdown, Gary Bell, Scott Broome, Ravi Chauhan, Aldo De Kock, James Doughty, Ronnie Eastman, Brett Elliot, Stewart Farrell, Iain Ford, Andrew Harland, Tony Hodge, Nadeem Jassat, Amevi Kouassi, Tiago Lucas, Graham Olliver, Ashish Patel, Sam Reeder, Mike Robinson, Adie Sherry, Darren Smith, Mark Smith, Rob Smith, Cherri Taylor, Kieran Taylor, Steve Teatum, Andy Wainwright, Louise Warrington, Danny Wheatley-Durrand and Dale Weatherson.
Please support them by giving whatever you can for their challenge.
Thanks.
