Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This year I have set myself a number of challenges to help to raise more funds for The Jon Egging Trust. As some of you will remember, Kate and I helped raise around £2500 last year for this amazing charity which helps young people to achieve all that they can be.
Please take a few minutes to have a look at their website and the incredible work that they do with our young people:
www.joneggingtrust.org.uk
I first became aware of the charity when I saw Dr Emma Egging give a talk at the RAF Waddington Airshow a couple of years ago. I had already run a couple of marathons for charity and when I got into the 2016 London Marathon, through the Good for Age scheme, I decided that I would like to help Emma and team raise funds.
So this year I have chosen to run three events with a probable fourth later in June.....should my legs survive that long! It's not easy at my age!
My first run is the Newton Fraction Half Marathon on 5th May; secondly the Virgin Money London Marathon on 23rd April (3rd year in a row); thirdly the Sleaford Half Marathon on 7th May and finally (maybe/possibly/probably/legs permitting) the Conquest of Avalon on 17th June, which is almost the same distance as the other three put together....big gulp....50 miles...in a oner...on the same day....and not in a car!
I think that might be enough for this year.
So I ask of you one simple thing, please donate as much or as little as you can afford. Every single penny will go towards helping our young people to achieve all that they can be through the help of this fantastic charity.
I will do all the pounding of the tarmac, all you need to do is enter a few details by clicking on the DONATE button.
Thank you so much, Deano
