Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Well, I can’t believe I am going to do this, but I am…..Yes, on the 3rd of July I’m going to the Peterlee Parachute Centre, where upon after little bit of that there training stuff I will get in to a little old plane, and then I will then ascend to (so I’m told) 11,000 feet. Once reaching this height I will then be strapped to the front of a complete stranger. He will then prize my fingers off the plane door & I will jump out! After free falling for a couple of thousand feet, he will open the chute with a bit of a pull on some string, and then we will glide slowly to the ground, taking in all the beautiful panoramic scenery (can you do this with your eyes shut?). Now I haven’t gone in to this lightly, Laura as told me I’m doing it and that’s it….. so here I go.I’m doing this for a great charity called ‘Heel & Toe’ who help children with Cerebral Palsy & Dyspraxia. The charity rely on public donations.Heel and Toe helps children with Cerebral Palsy and Motor Impairment learn to overcome their difficulties using a system of learning called Conductive Education. Conductive Education is both a therapy and special education that improves bodily control, confidence, motivation and general well-being.So if you want to see a face of fear you can also come & see me do it at , Peterlee Parachute Centre, Shotton Airfield, Shotton Colliery, , on the 3rd July. Then back to mine for a good stiff drink (because I think I will need one or a few!!!)
