Story
This is a chairty that is so close to my heart. I'm running for Joseph Mitchell, my nephew who left us far to soon, and our hearts broken forever. As you can see something's are just unimaginable and losing a child is unbearable. My amazing sister, husband Neil and big sister Molly are doing an amazing job in starting this charity, supporting other families who are going through, what they've been though.
I just couldn't put into words what the money is being raised for so here are the words from my sister Lisa ......
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. We are launching Joseph's charity night on Saturday 8th Febuary 2014 at aintree racecourse. Joseph was 2 and a half when he became an angel, he was born with a heart condition that meant are time with him was precious. When we lost Joseph in October 2012, we met the bereavement team in Alder Hey Children's Hospital. They were amazing and helped us in every way they could, but there were things that parents, siblings and family members should not have to think about and we wanted to help as much as we could. We have spent a lot of time working with the bereavement team thinking of ways which we can help. We have now come to the point were we need to launch the charity which is called Touched By An Angel in memory of Joseph Mitchell. All money raised will help the bereavement team, families, siblings and mummy's and daddy's who have lost a child. We will provide books that parents can read to siblings trying to explain death, we will provide albums were parents can put there photographs in which are taken when there child becomes an angel, we will be providing Moses baskets for the babies to be kept all warm and cosy whilst they stay in the bereavement centre along with baby grows, pjs so there mummy and daddy's can make them comfy. This is just a few of the things we will be doing. Please look at Joseph's charity page on Facebook for more up dates. Thanks for donating all our love x x
