10 April 22 - update
Today Phil and I did a 56 mile ride at an organised event at Southwold (should have been 50 but some clown hid some of the signs!). We did it in 4hrs and 1 min averaging 14 miles per hour. Not too shabby and we were happy with it as it was only second ride out for us 😃 4 weeks to go to the BIG event 😲

21 Feb 22- update
So the weather is making it hard to actually get out on my bike ☹️ I am hoping once these storms have died down to get out this week. In the mean time I am trying to go to spin twice a week to build up stamina levels.

A ride like this has always been on my bucket list of things to do, and at 50 I think it’s a case of now or never. And what a great charity to do it for.
I have been very privileged in the past and have visited the Ipswich hospice and seen what great work they do.
Our hospices arent just about end of life care; they're often very happy and fun places, where young people can live life to their full potential. They are places where families feel safe, at home and where they can spend quality time together. We support families and care for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk. Our family-centred approach includes specialist nursing care, symptom management support, short breaks, wellbeing activities, therapies and counselling; all meeting the individual needs of the child, young person and whole family. We offer families flexibility and control over where they receive their care and support; at home, in hospital or at one of three hospices at Milton (Cambridge), Quidenham (Norfolk) and The Treehouse (Ipswich). More than half of our care and support is delivered in the home and community, in surroundings familiar and comfortable for the whole family.
