St. Nicholas Church, in Laindon is a very beautiful, very old church which sadly is in need of urgent repairs, especially to the bell tower, which has been attacked by woodpeckers!

At a recent meeting of the Church Council our vicar, Diane, offered to do a sponsored walk around the Parish and I thought I would join her as she walked and probably take a few photos on the way! The big day is Saturday 18^th September and we will be walking around the boundary of the parish of Laindon with Dunton. Diane has measured the distance on a map and thinks it's about 12 miles – so please help us to raise the money to repair our beautiful church by sponsoring me with as much as you can afford.
