Story
Lona Williams - Joan Coppin - Jason Warren - Eleri Jones - Caryl Owen-Jones will all be joining me on the walk along with some others
Please help me raise money for these amazing people
On the 28th April 2008 my Dad went out fishing for whelks as he normally did, he worked as a fisherman fishing from Porthdinllaen North Wales, the events of that day will stay with me forever, as he never came home his life taken by the sea doing what he loved most.
The Porthdinllaen Lifeboat as well as 3 other Lifeboats, coastguard teams and rescue 122 from Valley were launched to search the area, after two days the search was called off, however the Porthdinllaen Lifeboat continued to search the sea and do shoreline searches, the people of Nefyn also contined to look on the beaches and the coast. On the 30th May we received news that another fisherman had found him and on the 28th June we were able to lay him to rest.
To commemorate the 5th anniversary of his death I will be walking from RNLI house at Porthdinllaen to Aberdaron, where my Dad raised.I will also be doing a bucket collect along the way.
All proceeds from the walk will be for the Porthdinllaen Lifeboat to help fund the building of their new boat house following the arrival of their new Tamar Class Lifeboat in August 2012.
