I have decided to run the BUPA Great Manchester 10K for the baby charity Bliss and would be very grateful for any spare cash you can donate to raise money for this great cause.

My lovely niece Isabella was born eight and a half weeks early at North Manchester General Hospital in November 2010. She spent the first four weeks of her life in an incubator in the Special Care Baby Unit and is now a healthy, happy little girl.

During that time, my sister-in-law Sarah and brother-in-law Colin were given a lot of information by Bliss to help them understand their situation. Since then Sarah has set up a support group for parents of babies who needed special care in North Manchester, which is also supported by Bliss. (www.facebook.com/blisslittlestars)
