Story

On Saturday 30th October 2021 my husband, David, slipped on grass and fell 35m while  descending the fourth of the Strathfarrar Munros on his own. With breaks in his right arm, leg, left shoulder and various ribs and no phone signal, he was lucky to be found by passing fellrunners. Several individuals and organisations were involved in his very dramatic and time-consuming rescue by helicopter. My family and I are so grateful to all those involved - runners, walkers, volunteers and emergency services - who gave their time and expertise to get him to safety whilst putting themselves in danger to do so. If you are inspired by their work which allows us all the opportunity to take advantage of Scotland’s awe inspiring wilderness knowing that we will be kept as safe as possible should something go wrong please consider making a donation.
