Story
In loving memory of David George Hearn 1950-2009.
He was full of character and had the spirit of someone a fraction of his age.Always on the go, he loved
to travel, read and to meet people - he could spark up a conversation anywhere, at any time and
usually at great length.
Another of his passions was for anything mechanical and when he wasn't fixing it, he was racing it,
riding it or dreaming of flying it. He had numerous other interests including music, ancient history,
astronomy and science fiction.
To us, he was a true friend as well as our Dad.
Sadly in September of last year he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and he passed away
in his sleep on 23rd August. No more pain Dad, rest in peace.
We would like to pass on our thanks to everyone for all your kind words and help in this difficult
time.
We know that he would hate to see loads of flowers go to waste so we ask instead that you
make a donation to Pancreatic Cancer UK to help raise awareness and further research for
this little understood condition.
