You may know that I am not a runner! Prior to starting training for this, my first half marathon, I had never run more than 5km - and even that was a struggle! Having lived in Reading for quite a few years I've always said that I would do the half marathon at some point - Tommy, my 4 year old nephew's recent diagnosis of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) has given me the motivation to do something. Fortunately the prognosis for ALL is good, however, Tommy is currently about 6 months through a gruelling potential 3 years worth of Chemotherapy. It is very frustrating as we feel very helpless - in reality there is very little we can do to help support Tommy and his family - particularly as this affects his immune system we have to be completely well to even have contact with him.

CLIC Sargent have been fantastic in supporting Tommy and his family through this very tough time. Please help me give something back on their behalf.
