Story
On the 4 August I will be joining 20,000 other cyclists on the first running of the Ride London 100 Mile cycle race. The race starts at the Olympic Stadium and heads to central London where it picks up last years Olympic Road Race route down to the Surrey Hills. After successfully navigating three of Surrey finest hills, including the legendary Box Hill (just the once thankfully) the race heads back to London and finishes on the Mall.
Having lost my mum, Alice Woollett, to Breast Cancer in 1986 I have decided to ride for Breakthrough Breast Cancer to support the extraordinary work that they do. The objective of charity is ‘to save lives through improving early diagnosis, developing new treatments and preventing all types of breast cancer’. Further details of the charity and the work that they do can be found at their website http://www.breakthrough.org.uk/
Please take time to support the charity and help make the hours of training worthwhile.
Many thanks
David
