Story
My father died from MND, a disease which appears to be caused by proteins clumping together in the brain. MND switches off the brain's ability to send signals to muscles, those muscles then gradually waste away through lack of use. People usually live for about 14 months after diagnosis. It is a progressive illness which gradually robs sufferers of movement, speech and finally, control of the muscles which operate the lungs.
Five people die every day in Britain from MND. Researchers have been identifying the causes and hope to find a cure and your kind donations will help. Money raised by the cycle will be ear-marked exclusively for research.
Everybody seems to be hopping and leaping about for charity these days so I thought it was time I joined them and saddled you with a donation request. Sorry about that!
