Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I’m a runner, but I “gave up” running road marathons after my last attempt at London marathon 2018. I trained hard but on race day it was really tough, really hot, and I hurt my foot at mile six!
I did finish it, and I raised some money for Addaction, but it wasn’t fun. It was over 5 hours of slogging it out in the heat, with an injured foot, having to listen to my running mate Milney saying “‘let’s do this!”, when all I wanted to do was bail off the track and go home. So that was me and marathons done with.
But then I got an e mail from the people at Addaction in late 2019 and they asked if I wanted to take part... again.
So now I’m back pounding the pavements and trying to raise money.... again. But it’s for a good cause.
Addaction help people with mental health, alcohol or drug problems, and we all know someone that needs, or could have done with, some help from these guys.
So yeah. I’m asking for money again! Lots of people ask for fund raising money these days. But don’t get angry with them. They’re trying to do some good.
Anything will help. Thanks in advance. :-)
