Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Just over two years ago I crossed the finish line of the 2011 London Marathon and vowed never to embark on anything so outrageous ever again. My self control lasted just over 16 months before insanity kicked in again and I agreed to my latest challenge.
On Wednesday 22 May I set off on a 300 mile cycle ride from London to Paris to raise much need funds for GOSHcc.
Great Ormond Street is one of the world’s largest children’s hospitals that treat as many as 200,000 children each year presenting a range of illnesses. Their aim is to raise a massive £50 million each year in order to provide world class care for its young patients and their families by:
*contributing to the rebuilding and refurbishment of the hospital.
*supporting ground-breaking research into the development of new treatments.
*funding the most up to date equipment.
*providing accomodation and other support services for children and their families.
In short the money you and other people donate will go a long way to making a huge difference to each and every one of the 200,000 children that through no fault of their own find themselves inside the walls of this incredible hospital.
You can read more about the work this incredible charity does at www.gosh.org
Please, please, please take the time to visit my Just Giving page below and give generously. Donations of all shapes and sizes will be hugely appreciated and your money will go a long way improving the lives of hundreds of thousands of children and their families.
Do also take the time to leave me a short message, I will take much encouragement in reading all of your support. Lastly do not forget to tick the Gift Aid box to help raise even more money.
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you all in advance for your support and I look forward to sharing photos of my journey with you when I return.
All the best
Dave
