UPDATE - Done it! Many thanks to all of you you donated - it's much appreciated.

I finished in 4:40mins - a fantastic experience, great crowd and atmosphere.

As I turn 50 this year, it seemed a good idea at the time to mark it by running my first marathon.....

I also want to take the opportunity to raise money for a great local charity - Willen Hospice.
