Story
Following on from my rip-roaring half marathon effort last year I've once again bitten off more than I can chew by taking on the London Marathon on 26th April 2020!
I've been training hard since the beginning of Jan taking on half marathon runs in Storm Ciara and Dennis with plenty more to come. It's now time to kickstart my fundraising efforts and for this I need your help...
I think we all know someone who has suffered with mental health issues but the statistics nationwide are staggering. Approximately 1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health problem each year and 1 in 6 people report experiencing a common mental health problem (such as anxiety and depression) in any given week. This is such a pervasive issue; the NHS is fantastic but charities such as Mind (amongst others) are doing wonderful work to support and supplement this. I wanted to do what I could to help, so schlep 26.2 miles around London I must!
I really do appreciate any donations you are able to afford me; I have a punchy £2,000 fundraising target to hit and every penny will help drag me out training in the cold, wet and windy conditions!
