Story
As many of you know our
close friend Lucy passed over a year ago this April after battling with
Pulmonary Hypertension for 2 years. She was just 24 years old.
In
an effort to raise awareness her close friends and family have
organised many events in memory of Lucy and have helped to raise a
substantial amount of money for the PHA Charity. In fact so far since
lucy was diagnosed in 2006 a massive £19,000 has been raised for PHA in
her name. Now it is our turn!!!!!
For those of
you that don't know Pulmonary Hypertension is a rare lung disorder in
which the blood pressure in the pulmonary artery (that run between the
heart and the lungs) rises far above normal levels causing the heart to
work faster and harder to supply the body with oxygen. Symptoms of
Pulmonary Hypertension include shortness of breath, dizziness, chest
pains, fainting and fatigue.
