Story
Earlier this year my Grandma Sweet passed away on the 11th August after a short battle with cancer.
Before she died I said to her that me and my sister (Vicky Shipman) told her that we would help raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support as they were fantastic in helping her through and her close family through the last days and making them comfortable for my Grandma.
So me and Vicky are going to be running the BUPA 10K in London this year to help raise money for Macmillan in memory of our Grandma and also to help support this fantastic charity so that they can continue to help people directly affected by cancer and make people's lives easier.
I personally hope to raise £300.00 for this cause. Why so much? Well from a personal point of view it is going to take ALOT of training to get to any sort of fitness - I have let myself go over the past couple of years and have now earned the nickname "Beefy" (thanks Duncan!). I hope to shed this name and raise lots of money for this fantastic cause.
Please give what you can - all donations will be appreciate. I will be updating my progress of training/build up to my run on my blog - www.davidshipman.co.uk/blog. #mce_temp_url#
Thank You
