Story
This summer, eleven times Paralympic gold medallist David Roberts will tackle a challenge like no other ever attempted in aid of Noah’s Ark!
In a five day event David will cover much of Wales in an extreme triathlon all to raise vital funds and awareness for Noah’s Ark and the many sick children we help. David knows first hand the importance of having a world class children's hospital here in Wales, at the age of eleven David was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy which meant years of traveling to London for treatment. Today David would only need to travel to Cardiff!
LEG ONE: CYCLE! Holyhead - Cardiff
The first leg will be a cycle from Holyhead to Cardiff, taking place over three days.
22 July
David will cycle from Holyhead to Dolgellau College.
23 July
Today David will travel from Dolgellau to Builth Wells, ending at the very popular Royal Welsh Show in Builth.
24 July
Once again starting from the Royal Welsh grounds, David will then make his way to the Welsh Capital Cardiff, finishing on the busy Queens Street.
LEG TWO: SWIM!
25 July
Today David takes on 10k of open water in Llanelli North Dock. It’ll be a gruelling day as David confesses he doesn’t like open water swimming.
LEG THREE: RUN!
26 July
This final leg will see David complete a marathon from Margam Park in Swansea all the way to Cardiff. This will be an exciting final as David completes the marathon at the Glamorgan County Cricket Club T20 match with Northamptonshire at the SWALEC Stadium.
