Story
So I have decided to embark on my next challenge in life…the Brighton Marathon…well my next challenge after fatherhood.
After completing a half marathon a few years ago and a 100 mile bike ride last year I feel that this was the next (not so natural) step. In fact it made me realise that I hate running.
That’s right I hate running but if I was going to do something like run 26 miles then I was going to do it for a reason. That reason is Dylan.
As most of you will know my son Dylan was diagnosed with 4q deletion syndrome which is the cause of numerous challenges for him, mainly low muscle tone and developmental delays. He has generalised low tone which means that his muscles are a lot weaker than his peers and, this means that he has difficulty strengthening his muscles to enable movement.
Through Dylan’s journey we met the lovely people at Whoopsadaisy.
Whoopsadaisy’s work with children with physical needs using a technique called Conductive Education. They use language and specialist equipment to enable children to reach their full potential, please take a moment to visit their website to read more about them…
This is why we decided to get help from this wonderful organisation Whoopsadaisy! They are supporting Dylan and many other children achieve and conquer daily physical challenges, which in turns build strength and confidence for the future.
Whoopsdaisy help Dylan and we need to help them!
Thank you for visiting my Just Giving page and supporting this great charity!
