Fundraising for The Friends of St Luke's
Story

I am a former Chairman, current board member and son of the founder of The Friends of St Luke's Cancer Care who support St Luke's Radiation Oncology Network Dublin. Founded by my dear Dad (who sadly passed away 2 years ago) Prof Michael J O'Halloran in 1981 to raise much needed funds for St Luke's Hospital.
35 years later The Friends are a vibrant network of fundraisers throughout the country!
I have spent November growing my moustache for St Luke's as many of you may have seen. Now with November drawing to a close it is time for me to ask you for a donation for this very worthy cause!
In 2016 The Friends have funded some very important projects across the Network including 2 minibuses for patient transport to and from treatment in our centres, vital equipment such as a new CXT/DXT, 2 new lifts for patients, WiFi for patients, new seating for patient areas and many other extras to help the patients through their cancer journey.
St Luke's Rathgar is the only centre in Ireland which treats children needing radiotherapy and in early 2017 they will open a new children and adolescent area which will allow children and their family an area to play, have privacy and recover from the daily anaesthetic needed during their treatment.
