Story

Ever since I was a boy with my first pony I have been fascinated with Aintree Race Course,  particularly with the Grand National which has inspired all of my riding exploits.

When the opportunity came to ride at Aintree whilst at the same time raising money for a cause close to my heart I jumped at it.

However, as this is a flat raise I will need to resist the urge to hang right and jump Becher's Brook and the Chair on my way to the finishing line!

The horse I am due to ride is a very strong front runner and I am likely to have my arms pulled out just getting to the start.

It will be a thrill and a privilege to race against a true Grand National Hero, Ryan Mania and my fellow amateur jockeys.

Any sponsorship, however small will be most gratefully received and I will do my very best to win it for everyone.

Massive thanks goes to JJ the owner and trainer of the horse who has kindly donated all his expenses incurred in getting the horse from its summer grazing to Aintree in tip top condition.
