Lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM) is a rare lung disease that only occurs in women. It affects just over one woman in a million. We are a self-help group providing support for patients with LAM and raise money for vital research - it is often difficult to obtain money for research into a rare disease.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are raising money to fund research into a cure for the rare lung disorder, LAM.  It only affects women, often in their prime, and gradually reduces lung function, leading to the use of oxygen, a decline in the quality of life and eventually a lung transplant.  For some women with the condition a lung transplant is not possible and there is no other cure - lung function deteriorates still further, leading to premature death.

David's wife, Julie - Jack's mum has LAM.
