I have set this page up to raise as much money as possible for The Christie Hospital in Manchester.  I will do this by any means necessary (Firstly The Great Manchester Run 20th May 2012) so if you come across any charity events, fundraising opportunities, or just wanna see me dance around for some cash...I WILL DO IT! ;)

In May 2011 when I was on holiday in Ibiza, despite the alcohol abuse I could feel a pain in one of my erm.. balls.  I was a bit busy partying at the time to do anything about it, but as soon as I got back to the UK, I thought I better get it checked out.

I went to my GP, who referred me straight to hospital (Bury Fairfield) where - after a lot of drop trou time, cupping and prodding - he told me I had a tumour and it was quite likely cancerous.

At a young *ahem* 25 years old, and after just about recovering from the Ibiza hangover, I was more than a little bit shocked to hear these words.

I had surgery to have the tumour removed in June 2011 which confirmed it was cancerous and am currently in great health with no signs of it spreading anywhere else.

I was referred to The Christie after the operation and I am currently on a 10 year surveillance plan - at present I am on monthly tests, soon to be 2 monthly come June this year.

The care and support I have recieved since becoming a patient at The Christie and the work that the staff and volunteers do there has blown my mind.  

I am very lucky that I have The Christie on my doorstep in Manchester, there are a lot of people in the UK a lot more unfortunate than myself, who rely on The Christie far heavier than I do, which is why I want to give as much as I can back to them.

The Christie Charity was set up to help fund research and projects that are outside the scope of the NHS so every extra penny they raise is valuable. 

Anything you can give, no matter how rich and famous you are would be massively appreciated :)
