Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
You never think that you will be the one who gets diagnosed
with cancer. It comes out of the blue and the shock and disbelief sends
your world crashing down.
Prostate cancer is generally a cancer that is associated with ‘older’ men however, more and more younger men are being diagnosed like myself. In a lot of cases like mine, there are no immediate signs or symptoms.
I have been fortunate enough to be able to undertake most of my treatments including gruelling 18 weeks of chemotherapy, at the center of excellence, The Christie Hospital Manchester.
The staff who work there are kind, generous, and caring and have ensured my treatments have been bearable.
My aim is to make younger men like me more aware of this disease and the symptoms it can display, it has to be talked about openly and for us men to stop sticking our heads in the sand!!!
I am determined to fight this heinous disease and continue to work full time, with the support of my wonderful wife, sons, family, friends and amazing employers.
You don’t realise who you need around you until you need them.
In honour of The Christie, I am planning on running the Manchester 10K on Sunday 28th May 2017.
