Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Apologies - not a brilliant photo - taken from the plane a couple of days ago flying to Sandakan from Kota Kinabalu. But, that big pointy thing poking through the clouds is Mount Kinabalu - the highest mountain in Borneo at 4,095m (that’s a very respectable 13,435 ft).
In fact it’s the highest peak south of the Himalayas, until you get to Iryan Jaya.
I was first in Borneo way back in 1978, as a member of the Trans-Borneo Expedition, but didn’t get a chance to go up the mountain. So now over 40 years later, and 40 years older, I’m back on unfinished business......
