Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Thanks to the generosity of all the people who have given so far i have gone beyond my original £500 target and have had to raise it to £1000, thanks so much!
From the 18th of June to the 20th of June I will be cycling from Cardiff Bay to Land's End, mainly along the national cycle network, on a journey that is about 450miles (I am currently doing an accurate measurement: see below when I have finished it). I will be doing this non stop (apart from 'comfort' breaks and puncture repairs) and with out any support vehicle. I am aiming to do it in 48 hours which gives me, with about 4hours for punctures etc, a target of averaging 10mph for the entire route.
The money will be split between LATCH and the Noah's Ark Appeal, two amazing charities which help children and their families who find themselves in the most awful of circumstances. Enough said.
Many people have laughed when they hear what I am planning on doing, saying there is no way I will do it. To them I say why not put your money where your mouth is... if I don't make it then you have full permission to take the mick mercilessly for ever. If I make it I promise that I won't say "I told you so" and the money you have given goes to help some amazing children.
So come on, please dig deep and donate now. I would love to blow my target out of the water and go for £1000+ with your help.

I have just finished the accurate measurement of the route (and now wish I hadn't!).
The total distance is 446.77 miles with a total climb of 23709ft or so (that is over the whole route of course and there is also a drop of 23495ft taking me from 15ft above sea level at the start to 229ft at Land's End)
