Story
Well, phew take a breath!! lots been happening with the running and fundraising!! Quick update.,,, 3 weeks ago I went to my local Tesco store and ran for 33 miles hopping off for the occassional toilet break and raised a whopping £810 from the customers donating by putting their loose change into the collection buckets!! amazing southampton public massive appreciation!! The training has stepped up a gear too, decided to enter the New Forest Festival of running 20 mile race, this was through a gruelling circuit in ringwood... Well I arrived very very nervous on my own with my trackie bottoms and jumper on whilst I stood listening to the stories of my fellow 20 mile circuit runners telling me how they had ran ultra marathons, competed in iron man comps etc a little fazed to say the least..... gulp.... As we set off i felt in confident mood... I ran as hard as I could and determined to do well, the amazing words the supportive generous donations massively pusehed me on and motivated me!! Well i completed 20.5 miles in 2.45 hours!!! And finished a staggering 19th out of 300 runners!! so so buzzing after that!!! Just got in from taking my Dad for a slap up Curry!!! Yum!! Well i deserved the treat!! back to the grilled chicken tomorrow!!! Thanks for all your kind generous donations want to raise £3000!!! early there im sure its possible!!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
January 2012 is almost finished and have'nt had a sip of alcohol since last year, feeling a whole lot better for it! Had a lot of decent progressive runs in January and thankfully its been fairly mild, a few people to mention, work colleagues at Barnes, Martin and Trevor for being a running partner and especially a massive thank you to Ami Kahlon, a great mate and companion on the long runs at the weekend back in Southampton! He's been putting me through my paces and this weekend saw us complete a gruelling route pounding the hilly parts of Southampton, did 15.1 miles in just over 2.04 hours, the week before we did 14 miles in 2.01 hours! Thanks Ami!
Have also entered a 20 mile race, the New Forest 20 Miler on Sunday 11th March this should provide a platform for the London Marathon! Also a special mention to Paula, she fitted me out with my new running kit, new shorts, and new Brooks trainers!
I will be FUNDRAISING at Tesco, Millbrook, Southampton on Friday 24th February, between 10am and 6pm, I will be running on a treadmill and hoping to raise as much money as possible on this day! Thanks for all your kind donations to date, every little helps, keep donating!!!

Great comments, fantastically generous donations! Will train hard to do her proud! X
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Unexpectedly in June 2010 my mum was diagnosed with lung cancer. She fought a brave battle against this, however just a few months later in the October she lost this fight. She was my very best friend and for those lucky enough to have known her knew just how truly amazing she was. The day she died a large part of me did too. I was the lucky one to have had her in my life, she left too soon, too young...
I have decided to run the London 2012 marathon not only in her memory but also to be part of making a small contribution to the possibility of future advances in medical science/treatments. To be part of preventing just one family having to have gone through what mine has done in the past 11 months would be an incredible achievement.
So many of us have either been directly or indirectly effected by cancer. Please please dig deep, every little does help, and is sincerly very much appreciated!! xx Thank you!
