On the 2nd November I will be running the New York Marathon. It will be the first time I run a Marathon!

I will be running in memory of my Grandad, Harry Martin, who sadly died earlier this year after suffering with kidney failure for many years.

To show my appreciation for the care he received at the Royal Sussex County Hospital I am raising money for the South Eastern Kidney Patients Association, SEKPA. SEKPA helped our family to have many more years with my Grandad.

SEKPA are a registered charity set up to help kidney patients in East and West Sussex who are treated at Sussex Kidney Unit of the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton and at its satellite Dialysis Units at Bexhill, Worthing and Crawley.

EKPA's objectives are:

> To support kidney patients and their families in all ways possible

> To raise money to purchase additional equipment for the wards and all the Renal Units

> To support research into kidney disease
