Story
Hi,
For some strange reason, I’ve decided to run the London Marathon on 17 April for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
If you don’t know, Marie Curie provides care for people with cancer and other terminal illnesses. It’s a fantastic cause, and, I’m sure you’ll agree, one which deserves our attention and support.
Obviously, the London Marathon is a BIG run (26.2 miles or 42,185 metres), and, one which requires a lot of dedication (i.e. not much drinking) and training (LOTS of running). Just so you know what I have in store, a typical week involves running 6 times, covering between 30 to 60 miles, usually involving 3 hard sessions (intervals, hills etc.), 2 recovery runs (I don’t feel like I’m recovering) and a long run (up to 22 miles) on a Sunday. It really is tiring work.
As you may have guessed, I need your help. My fundraising target is £2,000 and to reach it, I need all the support I can get. If you could sponsor me, that would be fantastic. Small or large, it all helps in the battle!
Thanks,
David
