We support research at St Mark's Hospital to drive clinical improvements for patients

Story

When my friend Paul Bouscarle invited me to celebrate the end of his intensive treatment for bowel cancer, I had no idea that I was going to wake up the next morning having agreed to cycle 80 miles a day for four days to raise money for St Marks Hospital in Harrow.

I did do the London to Brighton 40 years ago and vowed never to get on a bicycle again, the same bike hangs in the shed but I have been told to buy a hybrid (I was hoping it meant it had a battery) but no luck. Nevertheless I have completed my first one hour training ride only to be told by Paul that we will be cycling for approx. 8 hours a day. We leave Hemel Hempstead on 27th May heading to Northants, then Norfolk through Essex to London to finish at Arsenal stadium.

The St Marks Foundation raises money for research into better treatments and cures for bowel deceases including Crohn's, Colitis, IBS and Cancer, they do a fantastic job but are desperately short of funds.

I have a personal target of £5,000 and any sponsorship towards this will be hugely motivating. Please join me in an effort to support such a worthy cause, help smash my target and accept a great big thank you in advance for your kind generosity.
