Kevin Dingwell and I wanted to help raise money for Cancer Research UK as both of our families have been affected by this terrible disease.  We are joining forces with nine other teams to navigate across six European countries in six days in a car costing no more than £600 and over 25 years old.  Kevin and I have purchased a 1989 Toyota Corolla for this challenge.  We start in Dover on the morning of May 28th and (hopefully) return to Calais on Tuesday June 2nd.  Navigation is by map and not satnav.  We will be given our destination each day and have to go via a waypoint where we are required to take a photograph of our car next to the town sign to prove we were there.  Mileage logs are taken each day and the winner is the team to finish the rally in the shortest distance.  We have a Facebook page which will be updated before and during the event to log the car's preparation and to show how we are getting on:
