Story
If you’re on this page then you either know me (glutton for punishment) or you know more importantly that very recently my work colleague lost his beautiful daughter (Beth) to Leukaemia in December 2011 after a fight and a half. I knew Beth as a friendly, smiley and beautiful girl with no heirs or graces. She treated everyone as a friend. No pretences, just full of the joys of youth. Sometimes life just isn’t fair! That’s why I want to make sure that Beth’s life was not wasted. In her times of critical illness and seclusion she had great solace from The Teenage Cancer Trust and the assistance and help they gave her to feel ‘normal’ and like a teenager at her lowest ebb.
There are many causes close to us all one way or another. Personally MS, cancer and Anorexia have played a significant part one way or another in my life. I’ve tried to help and do my bit with these just causes but seeing also the devastation this cancer can cause to a family makes me want to help in my way here too.
So….here’s the glutton bit…. By way of as a real test of faith as a group at work we’ve decided to do something positive……doing nothing by halves we have all agreed to complete a 12 mile Special Forces designed assault course called Tough Mudder in May 2013. Take a look at the website….

I’m one of a team of around 30 ‘Tusker Tough Mudders’ who are aiming to raise £20,000 for the above mentioned charity (Teenage Cancer Trust) which made Beth’s life more ‘normal’ in her last 18 months!.
