Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. You can now also visit my own website for this event using this link #mce_temp_url#
Like many people, I've donated to friends and colleagues' Just-Giving pages in the past to support their fundraising activities, but never really thought about doing something myself. However, in June last year my brother was diagnosed with early-onset Parkinson's Disease at the grand age of 40..... Whilst he now faces a lifelong challenge in living with the effects of PD, I've embarked on a smaller, temporary challenge of my own in order to raise money for Parkinsons UK and will be cycling from London to Paris in Sept 2013. Somewhat unfit and out of shape, my training starts now!
Parkinsons UK are striving to improve the lives of people who have this degenerative disease, and continue the relentless research into establishing a greater understanding into its causes, which will hopefully lead to more effective treatments and ultimately, a cure.
I would be hugely grateful if you would support my challenge by helping me raise money for Parkinsons UK through my JustGiving page. ANY amount large or small will be gratefully accepted - every single pound raised will make a difference.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank-you.
