Story
In early September I decided to run the Sparta Sprint in Birmingham, which is being held on Sunday 2nd of October.

This is an intense 3-5k run, peppered with obstacles, barbed wire, fire, mud and general death. Why I decided to compete in this is still unknown to me. I'm an unfit, soft-in-the-middle IT specialist, I'm not made for such horrific activities.
So as an incentive to train for this veritable minefield I decided to set up this page and give money to charity.
I've opted for Diabetes UK - I came to terms with my having pancreatic failure many years ago, but I still remember how harrowing it was when I was diagnosed. With increased research this life changing event can be made bearable and manageable, especially for those who are newly diagnosed.
Any help you can give is much appreciated, and if you don't want to contribute then think of it as paying to watch me suffer!
Finally I have decided to update this weekly so you can see how my training is slowly destroying me.
