We offer expert care, guidance and support to people living with a terminal illness

Story

Having got 1 half marathon under my belt (and it's still a big belt) with 2hr 19min at Bristol in Sept 11, I am now turning my attention to Bath in March 12.

Given the miserable training weather, it will be a test to see how much I really enjoy running. However with Santa having bestowed jogging gear to me this Xmas I have a boost to get myself out the door.

I have been very lucky that all my close family have avoided cancer, but I now just have memories of those friends and extended family that cancer has taken from us.

Marie Curie Nurses provide care to terminally ill patients in their own homes or in their hospices, while offering support to their families.

By making a donation you will be making sure I pull on those trainers and get out the door on the days I really want to just lie on the couch rather than train. More importantly you will be helping Marie Curie to reduce someones suffering and support a family through a very very hard time.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
