In memory of David Graham
We provide Specialist Palliative Care to people with life limiting illnesses

Story

My dad, Dave Graham was known and loved by many as a singer, songwriter, performer, and more importantly than anything a generous, funny,  and good man.

In September 2016 after a long battle with bowel cancer, he was cared for in Woodlands hospice. The care he received in the last few weeks of his life was amazing.

We were not only allowed, but encouraged to bring guitars in to his room and sing to him. We made sure he was never without music, and as a bonus the other residents at Woodlands regularly asked to have their doors left open so that they could all listen to our daily concerts. The staff allowed us to stay over night every night, so that he was never on his own. We will never be able to repay Woodlands for the care they gave my dad in his final days. He was in the best place and comfortable in his surroundings. As well as this the support they gave us as a family was immeasurable and we will be forever grateful. The staff truly go above and beyond and this is just a small gesture to try to raise as much money as we can to enable them to continue their amazing work.

Woodlands is vital for people in these circumstances, and desperately need funding to continue this essential work for those who need it most, which is why me and my girlfriend Becky have decided to do this run.

Anyone who knows me and Becky probably know that we are more of a "sit on the couch, eat everything and drink wine" type of couple than runners, so you can imagine what a killer this is going to be for us!

So thank you in advance for your donations however big or small, it all helps and is massively appreciated!
