The 2017 challenge!

After another hugely successful "Football to Amsterdam" it was decided that we'd don the Lycra once  and make the 150 mile journey to try and raise more funds for this amazing charity in memory of my dad. Our aim this year is to smash the £100,000 barrier as a team. Currently we have around £67,000 so another £33,000+ is a huge challenge but with the help of family and friends I'm sure we can do it!!

On top of the bike ride I will be taking part in Jeff Stelling's "Jeff's march 2017 where he will be walking 15 marathons in 15 days! I'll be joining him at Harrogate Town and walking 26 miles to Bedale Town.

The Challenge (Updated)

After the success of the London to Amsterdam cycle challenge, spending more time with people from the charity and learning just how much of problem this horrible disease really is, (I visited the Prostate Cancer research centre in York) - also another family member has been hit with it too! I wanted to continue raising money for Prostate Cancer UK - So have decided to cycle next years Northern leg of the Football to Amsterdam 2016!! Starting at Oakwell Stadium Barnsley, cycling to Hull, then on to Amsterdam again! Thankfully I'll not be doing it alone, a few of this years "gang" are joining me again plus some more close friends who unfortunately couldn't participate in the L2A. Lets hope we can raise even more funds!!

My dad fought this horrible disease for 10 years with a smile on his face. He told me he would have loved to help others. This is my way of carrying out one of his wishes..... Raising money for Prostate cancer UK which in turn will help 1000's of men fight this disease and hopefully one day soon, find a cure!!!

London to Amsterdam Cycle Challenge 2015: UPDATE

Well what an amazing event! Raised a ton of money for a brilliant charity (Even bagged myself the "orange jersey" for being the top individual fund raiser (thanks to everyone that helped me reach such a huge, fantastic amount!)

The event overall raised over £305,000!! our team raised over £44,000 which was truly amazing!

The Challenge:

Two days on the road from London to Amsterdam as part of the Men United team. it’s all for a great cause - helping to beat prostate cancer.
