Story

Sadly, we lost Dave Ward to prostrate cancer on Saturday 1 February, 2020.

As things got progressively harder, the support from the Tintagel District Nurses was fantastic, they were down to earth, and so kind. They enabled Dad to stay in his home, right up to the end, which meant he was able to die peacefully, surrounded by his home comforts, and surrounded by members of his family - especially our amazing Mum who coped with all this unbelievably well. (Dad was never a patient man, and hated needing medical attention, so you can just imagine what he was like with all this!) we are grateful the nurses took it all in their stride...

We all know how underfunded the NHS is, and if we can help this team to help others, or if we can help make their job a tiny bit easier, that would feel like something positive, from a very, very sad week.
