Every year I organise some Fishing related events to raise money for Rainbow Trust Children's Charity.  This year is no exception and with a number of matches and sponsored events planned, I have set myself a challenging target of raising £5,500 as this will pay for 100 Hospital Support Sessions.

Hospital visits are often a nightmare for the families that we support.  Travelling long distances to unfamiliar cities, parking and juggling the care of a sick child and worried siblings is hard work. Often families are forced to take public transport to appointments, with a sick child and their siblings.  Our Family Support Workers pick up the whole family, take them to their hospital appointment, look after siblings during the appointment and return the family home safely.

At present, Rainbow Trust supports 1,000 families a year through our 8 teams of Family Support Workers across the country.  Only a lack of funds prevents us from helping more.
