Story
9th April 2012 marks 25 years since my dad was taken away from us after a long battle, bravely fought against Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. As I am to become a father myself for the first time later in April I think it is high time I did something to make a small difference in memory of my own dad.
I have decided to drag my overweight*, desk-jockey, backside 10 miles (ish) for every year that has past since we lost my dad. So I will be taking part in 6 marathons, 6 half marathons, 1 10 mile race and 1 10km in aid of raising vital funds for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research to help the fight against this horrible cancer.
My journey will begin in the Windermere Marathon on 20th May 2012 and will be followed by approximately 1 event per month until the climax of my challenge in front of Buckingham Palace at the end of the London Marathon in April 2013.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, I really would be grateful for any support and donations, no matter how small as I try to make amends for not getting off my lazy arse to help this wonderful cause for quarter of a century.
