Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Clara looks so beautiful, and yet she cannot walk or talk, and can sit up only with support, because she has Rett Syndrome. The Concert for Clara is taking place at Shrewsbury RC Cathedral on 23rd November 2012. It's the 3rd time I've staged a concert to raise funds for the world-wide research that is leading to a cure for Clara and all the girls with Rett Syndrome.
The generous donations of supporters who haven't been able to get to the concerts have helped to boost income from the concerts to over £6,000. Rett Syndome Research Trust UK is the benefiting Charity. It won Best New Charity in The Charity Times Awards 2011, and Best New Charity in the Just Giving Awards 2012.
International research has moved closer to finding a cure on various fronts - gene therapy, drugs, bone marrow transplantation. We urgently need to raise funds to sustain what is a race against time for Clara and the other girls.
Together we can make Rett Syndrome the first genetic neurological condition in medical history to be cured, so that Clara can talk to her mummy, and walk into her arms.
