This year me, my brother Luke and Uncle Sean, have decided to take on another challenge in memory of my very much loved and missed Dad. It's a charity that helped him and was close to his heart.
The challenge itself is a 100k walk across the South Downs in 30 hours. The average time for those that complete it is 27 hours and we are hoping to finish it in 24hours. It looked like a good challenge, doable... but now we are well into our training, we have realised just how hard this is going to be.... especially as this is far from flat ground, ending our 100k at Brighton race track..
My crazy brother is also doing the Iron Man the week before too, but he is not human.
So please give just a little to our cause 'The Poppy Factory'.
The transition into civilian life can be exceptionally tough, especially when you have a major health barrier to employment. The Poppy Factory helps disabled veterans to restore their financial independence through sustainable and rewarding careers, and their ongoing support enables veterans to thrive in their new workplace. Please help me to support The Poppy Factory in providing a truly bespoke employability service.
Thank you so much in advance!
