What:
50km+ Car Pull to raise funds for children with H-ABC, a rare life limiting disease that affects 200 children worldwide but with the prospect new life-saving gene therapy developed at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

During the attempt, Darren will aim to break three world records for longest distance pulled in 24 hours which is 33 km and the longest ever car pull that hasn’t been set yet, but Darren aims to make

this a minimum of 50km. He will also set the bar high for the fastest time to do a marathon whilst pulling a car.

When:
Starting at 6pm on September 23^rd until 12noon on September 25^th

Where: Blackbushe Airport, Camberley

Why:
Sport and challenges became a key part of Darren’s recovery from PTSD that nearly saw him take his own life. Instead, he decided to channel those emotions and efforts into raising funds for veterans
and children, raising over £51K in lockdown.

Darren was particularly touched when he came across the story of one child, Aggie Candy-Waters, and wanted to help by raising money towards the potential lifesaving treatment she needed. Since meeting Aggie, he has got to know Frankie and Sophia who also suffer from this rare disease and he is now on a mission to help save their lives amongst the other 200 children in the world. 

He raised over £31K earlier this year by completing an incredible 5 marathons in 50 hours, yet he felt there was more to give. He wanted to create a challenge that would capture the imagination of the public and raise even more towards Aggie’s lifesaving treatment.
