Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Big thanks to the lads( and Lass) joining me on this, I'm overwhelmed and extremey proud of you all...... Kev Munro Norman, Dave Munro Norman, Marc Norman, Oli Grisedale, Liam Tibbs, Phil Graves, John Wilson, Gemma Towers and Dylan Renac

Crohns is an awful disease and is very rare in under 18's. It affects various parts of the bowel.......In a nut shell, it' your immune system attacking your stomach lining

Chloe is 11 and has suffered with bowel problems since she was 3 years old..

She was originally  misdiagnosed with a Dairy allergy.. Then it was gluten, then wheat.... It was heart breaking restricting various foods from her, no ice cream in summer, no eggs at easter.. while she sat watching other kids and asked why me! ( You can't answer such questions, but, can see the tear in her eye! Feeling  part of your Heart breaking in the process)

Four years ago she was transferred to the RVI Newcastle, they diagnosed her with Crohns and she has been on medication since. This is a disease she will have to live with all her life.

Chloe, is the strongest and bravest person I know... she has had various endoscopy's, various steroids and immune suppressant drugs, all  with various challenges and side effects-these have all been met with a fighting attitude and a smile. Even a polymeric diet ( 6 weeks with no food!) Living off shakes, that eventually ended up with a week in hospital.

If I could have two wishes, they would be 1)to find a cure or 2) I could take the illness on her behalf... until I find a magic lamp all I can do is try to raise awareness and funds for Crohns and Colitis Uk, hopefully one day they will find a cure for this horrible disease.

Myself and family are proud of the lads & Gemma who have signed up to this, some admit they HATE running, but are going to give it 100% (Cheers all, I'll buy you a pint at the end)
