Story
I have always enjoyed being outdoors, and have run regularly for over 20 years. As a musician I travelled all over the world and, with time at each venue being limited, I found running for an hour was a good way to explore each area. I have never run a marathon, but have run a handful of half-marathons as well as numerous 10ks. I am also a regular at the local parkrun where I have taken part in well over 160 5ks.
I think all children should have the same opportunity - to grow up happy in a safe environment: they are mankind's future. Sadly there are times when is necessary for support to be provided, and it is here that the work provided by NSPCC is so invaluable. As a family solicitor I regularly represent children whose care has not been satisfactory. Whether to prevent abuse or to rebuild damaged young lives the NSPCC is there to help and I support the charity 100%.
I am a Londoner and have lived here all my life. I am a married father to three young adults. It is my 54th birthday on 24th April and to celebrate the day I could think of nothing better that to run the marathon, in aid of children. No presents please but do support the NSPCC.
